Broccoli

Broccoli, being the “Superfood” staple we know it as today, was originally cultivated from the mustard plant. Broccoli has its origins in primitive cultivars grown in the Roman Empire and was most likely improved via artificial selection in the southern Italian Peninsula or in Sicily.

We get our broccoli from our Amish Friends through our partner farm on Eagle Road Quarryville.

This healthy vegetable is great raw on its own or in salads as well as boiled and fried as a side or in dishes.
