Winter Banana Apple

Developed by Freeman S. Howlett at the Ohio agricultural research station and is there official state apple. Released during WW2. A cross between Jonathan and delicious (old school). Sweet and slightly tart similar to Jonathan but develops a fruity intensity in storage.

Winter Banana Apples are medium to large in size.  They are firm with a fruity, tropical scent similar to a banana and a pineapple.  It is sweet and tangy all at the same time!
