Cauliflower

Cauliflower originally came from the Mediterranean region and arrived in Europe around the end of the 15th century. The word cauliflower derives from the Italian word cavolfiore which literally means “Cabbage Flower”. This vegetable belongs to the Brassicaceae family, meaning it is actually a descendant of the Mustard plant.

We get our our organic cauliflower from our Amish friends in Quarryville through our partner farm on Eagle Road.

Cauliflower has a neutral flavor well suited to raw and cooked applications, including steaming, blanching, roasting, sautéing, baking, grilling, and frying.
