Developed by the Midwest Apple Improvement Association (MAIA), the Summerset® Apple is a cross between the Honeycrisp and Fuji apples. Not as dense as “Ever Crisp” which favors the Fuji side of parentage; the “Summerset is closer to the “Honey Crisp” side. It’s texture is very crisp and firm. It is sweet and tart with a tangy flavor.
